Joe this picture is great! I can see the incorporation of your subject area (science/physics) via the blackboard in the back and the fact that the man giving the lecture is Richard Feynman, the great physicist responsible for many contributions in the field of physics (especially quantum mechanics). Through the use of the projector, the material is assessable to each student in the room due to the fact that they can all see and hear the presentation without difficulty. Obviously, this is an advantage in a big lecture hall like the one pictured because it is often difficult for some students to hear or see a professor during a lecture. Additionally, I feel that the use of a lecture conducted by such a great figure in your subject area is highly beneficial for two reasons. The first reason is that the students will be able to become familiar with a big name in the field of physics and learn directly from him. Secondly, it may aid certain students in hearing the material presented in a different way from a different person when they do not understand it from the professor himself. Overall, I feel like you’ve done an outstanding job with identifying a photo that represents the use of technology in your discipline!
Thank you so much for the great comment! I know that Richard Feynman's work is quintessential to many of the things that we know today, and I am happy to see that he is getting popularity (albeit from a Science classroom or Big Bang Theory!)
Hi I like this picture and your caption as well. I chose a Television and film as my choice as well. This is a modern version of use of TV in the classroom. In the picture, everyone looks engaged and they are learning something from the big screeen. These days, we are blessed to have a giant screen to watch films in the class. However, I know how it could be a horrible pain to watch a small TV with black and white moving pictures in a big classroom. If I have to go back to the past and have to watch the TV for my learning, I would go bored. However, now it is a great tool for learning and teaching. Thank you for sharing! :)
A very good point! I do remember being in the back of the classroom and not even being able to see the 10 inch TV screen, so I took the opportunity as nap time!
Thankfully, now we have projection systems that can be seen even from the farthest reaches of the classroom!

Videos dude, sharing insanely complex things with the common public and actually having it make sense.
